Law Program  

Program Goal:  

Technical and methodology support to development initiatives and development of relevant institutions aimed at building open society, human rights principles compliance, rule of law and democracy during Law reforms in Kyrgyzstan.  

Program Objectives: 

-    Support to Law reforms in Kyrgyzstan;

-    Support to NGOs initiatives in Human Rights protection and promotion;

-    Building capacity of Human Rights protection movements in Kyrgyzstan.  

Program activities: 

·         Support to Human Rights protection activities:

Ø       Giving competitive Grants;

Ø       Special Course on International Pact on Civil and Political Rights Applications.

·         Reforming system of guaranteed state lawyer assistance:

Ø       Introduction of new system of lawyer services to population paid from the state budget.

·         Support to Courts System Reforms:

Ø       Introduction of system of jury.

·         Support to Penal System Reforms:

Ø       Support to Regular Monitoring of Penal System institutions in Kyrgyzstan;

Ø       Introduction of Probation Service (Punishment Execution Inspection under Criminal law);

·         Labor Migration:

Ø       Support to Implementation of State Program on Regulations of Migration in Kyrgyzstan for 2007- 2010;

Ø       Labor Migrants Rights Protection.

·         Selections Procedures Reforms.

Ø       Support to Transparent Selections in the Kyrgyz Republic in accordance with international standards.
