East-East: Partnership beyond Borders Network Program
The program aims at supporting initiatives in development and extension of open society, namely by joint efforts of civil society organizations in more than one country, i.e. ‘beyond borders’.
Program Goal:
The goal is to support initiatives aimed at ideas exchange, knowledge and experience exchange as well as to support actual activities following creation of international network for information and knowledge exchange. East-East: Partnership beyond Borders Network Program is both grants awarding and operational; the Program renders financial support to organizations and civil society representatives seeking building partnerships ‘beyond borders’ aimed at: - building and/or strengthening resources and staff professional qualifications; - exchange of experience and lessons learned from social change failures;- joint development of innovative solutions to common problems; - creating motivation for joint efforts and building and/or strengthening international coalition public campaigns (advocacy).
Program Focuses on Support to:
Long-term and long-lasting deep initiatives with clear stated tasks that directly: - support diversity in opinions and alternative evaluations; - ensure information open public access; - assist vulnerable and/or unprotected society groups; - support wider involvement in public activities and increased political importance of citizens; - build professional networks for knowledge and information exchange, especially for youth.
Program Does Not Support:
- individual travel/ participation in conferences, - individual consulting, - individual research projects, - world forums and/ or annual conferences, - technical sciences, - arts events, - translation of and printing publications, - business activities, commercial activities and/ or any other activity aimed at profits making.
Budget:
Program budget depends on total quantity of grant proposals became winning. At the same time a grant proposal should be rational and relative to the stated Project activities.
